Youth Horse Council Donations for Silent Auction

3 years 3 months ago #1330 by Kate
McDonald, NM, January 25, 2021- The American Youth Horse Council is hosting an online auction to support the AYHC Grant Program. You can contribute to this fundraiser by donating an item or a collection of items for a basket. We suggest items that are horse themed such as artwork, decorations, tack, jewelry, treats, clothing, educational materials, etc. In addition, non-perishable food gift baskets were a big hit in the previous auction. This might be a great way to support a local small business by purchasing an item to donate!

We will accept donations through February 24, please use this link please use this link to upload the details for your donation (including an item title, description, fair market value, suggested starting bid and picture). Please do not send items to the AYHC office. Donors will be responsible for shipping donated items to the winning bidder no later than March 19 (auction will close on March 7), so keep that in mind when you are deciding what to donate! Frozen food or heavy items might not be the easiest or most cost effective to ship across the country.

About the AYHC Grant Program:
The primary intent of AYHC’s grant program is to assist groups and help provide training to volunteer leaders, which will enrich the horse experiences of our youth. A secondary goal of this grant program is to provide assistance to high impact activities which promote or fulfill the mission of AYHC with direct service to youth that promotes the youth horse industry. Here are a few programs we have supported in recent years.

Texas 4-H Horse Ambassador Program
Wakulla County Horseman’s Association and 4-H Bits N Bridles Safety Equipment
Wrangler Riding Club Summer Horse Camp
Oklahoma State University Horse Science Academy
Circle C Equestrian Center Riding Instructor Continuing Education Day

Feel free to share with your friends! Our goal is to support the youth equine industry by providing funding for educational programming. Donors and bidders don’t have to be AYHC members, everyone is welcome to join in the fun!
