Horses and Humans Research Foundation Inaugural Founder’s Giving Day, October 17th, 2019
Chagrin Falls, OH – September 17, 2019 – Horses and Humans Research Foundation (HHRF) is excited to kick off its first ever Founder’s Giving Day. The date chosen is in honor of HHRF’s founder Molly Sweeney, whose birthday is on October 17th. We also want to recognize the fellow dedicated colleagues who helped get HHRF off the ground and helped steer HHRF to become the successful organization it is today.

The HHRF Board has set a goal to raise $10,000 in gifts and 100 donors in celebration of this day. These funds will assist Horses and Humans Research Foundation to carry out its mission of supporting research in the field of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies. Evelyn McKelvie, HHRF Board Vice- President and Chair of the Development Committee, shares “It is an honor to work with such a talented and dedicated group of volunteers who are committed to expanding the research into the horse-human connection. When Molly Sweeney founded HHRF there was almost nothing known from a scientific perspective about the beneficial effects that horses have on humans. Thanks to the vision of Molly and her herd of like-minded caring and generous individuals, research and knowledge into these important therapeutic activities has increased dramatically in the last decade. There is so much more to know and understand and building on our success will add great value to the programs that are helping increasing numbers of people to recover physically, emotionally, and spiritually from a wide range of illnesses and disabilities.”

The Founder’s Giving Day campaign will culminate on Oct. 17th. HHRF will be sending out periodic updates over the next month and will showcase some of those honored in this campaign. To participate please visit www.horsesandhumans.org . All donations received from now until Oct 17th will go to meet the set goal of $10,000 in gifts and 100 donors. Thank you for your generous support.

HHRF Mission: Through sustained investment in rigorous research, HHRF serves as a catalyst to advance global knowledge of horse-human interactions and their impact on health and wellness.

Horses and Humans Research Foundation (HHRF) is dedicated to funding research to investigate the equine-assisted activities and therapies field.
