HorseAbility’s mission is to improve the lives of individuals with special needs through facilitated interactions with horses. Offering a wide range of horse-related programs to children, adults, and families; HorseAbility promotes the physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of all of our participants. The personal attention that each participant receives from our wonderful staff and volunteers is unparalleled.
TJ’s Wish is a charity set up in honor of my brother (TJ) Thomas Johansen. TJ’s heart was changed forever when he met a beautiful little girl with special needs, who also happens to be his niece. He fell in love with her the moment he met her. They became best friends. As a result of that relationship, TJ developed a soft spot in his heart for children and adults with special needs. He would always go out of his way to make anyone feel special and included in anything that most of us take for granted! Unfortunately, TJ passed away on May 22nd of 2018. We know we can never fill the hole in the world that was left behind when TJ passed, but we are committed to keeping his memory alive! We have set up this foundation in his honor, to carry his legacy and make a difference in people's lives, that are less fortunate than all of us. All donations received and profits from our annual golf tournament will go to local charities that help children and adults with special needs.
Our hope is that everyone can be a little like TJ everyday!
