Advertising Account Executive, The Whip

The Whip is the signature publication of The American Driving Society, Inc (ADS), and one of the top carriage driving magazines in North America. We are currently seeking a positive, energetic and experienced Advertising Account Executive in digital and print advertising sales to join our team. We’re seeking the kind of person that has demonstrated connections in the driving community and a proven track record of success. This individual should understand how to think critically, problem-solve and take a consultative approach to winning business from driving and equine related clients.

The Account Executive must be an energetic self-starter who is proactive in increasing advertising client base. They must be independent, creative, and a dedicated team player. This individual contributor’s sales role will own responsibility for managing every part of the sales process for assigned accounts.

Responsibilities
· Full sales accountability and revenue responsibility for The Whip and digital offerings, including sales, recording, collecting ads and preparing lists for billing.

· Conduct strategic sales planning meetings with advertisers to identify sales opportunities and establish annual targets.

· Prepare proposals and respond to RFP's with a high degree of professionalism, quality and in a timely manner.

· Proactively prospect, qualify, grow and maintain an account list of revenue-generating advertisers.

· Strategize with clients to demonstrate how The Whip and related offerings can meet marketing objectives via strategic marketing solutions and media buys.

· Identify and understand trends within the carriage industry.


Qualifications
· Established connections in the carriage driving community.

· Minimum of 3-5 years of digital and print advertising sales experience or related sales experience.

· Must be a good communicator and skilled at developing relationships through sales outreach.

· Prospecting and cold calling skills necessary to develop new advertisers.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook needed.

· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective business relationships.

· Some travel required, including weekends.


Compensation
The Advertising Account Executive is an independent contractor with a compensation package that is 100% commission centered. Work from home and set your own hours. Full description is available at www.americandrivingsociety.org
