June 25, 2019 Gladstone, NJ -- This summer from July 16-19, side saddle riders from across the country and beyond will flock to the United States Equestrian Team Headquarters in Gladstone, New Jersey. What reins them in however, isn't just a clinic or horse show--it's Camp Leaping Horn.

Camp Leaping Horn has provided side saddle riders of all ages and experience levels with a unique summer riding camp experience since its establishment in 2007. Campers will have the opportunity to lesson with the discipline's top instructors from all over the world, attend unmounted educational lectures and fitness activities, board their horses for the week at the iconic USET Headquarters, and catch up and laugh with campers of years past in a display of global camaraderie.

Off the horse, educational sessions by Camp Leaping Horn supporters have included topics such as side saddle fashion and history, jumping aside, side saddle repair, rider fitness and nutrition, equine health and medicine, and equine law. All campers are also treated to a special tour of the historic USET Headquarters.

Every year, Camp Leaping Horn culminates with the two-day Liberty Side Saddle Network Show, Side Saddle at the USET. Saturday consists of a fun show and Sunday's events are USHJA/USEF "C" rated and hosts the USHJA Zone 2 Horse of the Year Side Saddle Championship. The show also offers a SSA affiliated equitation class that gives riders the opportunity to qualify for the SSA's National Side Saddle Show in the UK. Campers find the experience of showing off their newly honed skills at the end of camp to be highly rewarding.

From saddle fitting with master saddlers and shopping for new habit, to trail rides, jumping lessons and everything in between, side saddle ladies can look forward to sharpening their skills aside in a full emersion side saddle community experience.
Whether looking to meet riding goals or become immersed in the historic culture of the side saddle sisterhood, Camp Leaping Horn is the place where sideways, is the right way.

Camp Leaping Horn would like to thank its recurring sponsors. Horsemen's Outlet of Lebanon, New Jersey provides campers with gifts and gift certificates, Pine Box Woodworking of Pittstown, New Jersey constructs and sponsors jumps, Amy Magee of Black Diamond Designs, Coatesville, Pennsylvania, offers side saddle repairs and attire consultations, and Paws and Rewind, LLC of Flemington, New Jersey is the official photographer and videographer of Camp Leaping Horn.

Camp Leaping Horn 2019 will be held July 16-19 at the USET Headquarters in Gladstone, New Jersey.
