Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation - Hay Drive 2024

Sunday, December 01, 2024 - Sunday, December 15, 2024

Help us reach our #GIVINGTUESDAY goal of $25,000 to support the TRF Farrier Fund. Did you know that horses need routine trimming of their hooves?

The TRF has several blacksmiths, also known as farriers, who help care for our aging herd. Without proper care, hooves can become overgrown, which can result in chipping, deterioration, cracking, and splitting. These issues can be painful and can even lead to more serious health problems. Horses need routine trimming of their hooves to maintain their quality of life and is crucial for our mostly senior herd.

The adage “no hoof, no horse” is all too true. We are committed to keeping our herd happy and healthy and good hoof care is an important piece of that equation. Your support helps us provide the hoof care that keeps our horses thriving.

Thank you for making a difference!
