Seaton Hackney Stables is a family-oriented horseback riding facility with a variety of equestrian activities for all ages and experience levels.
We at Seaton Hackney aim to instill the values of horsemanship, the love and passion for horses and to bring out the best in all of our riders.
Located in scenic Morristown NJ, adjacent to Morris County’s Loantaka Park.
We offer private, semi and group lessons, troop programs, Petite Equestrian Program (PEP) for ages 3 to 7 , trail rides, scout badge programs, pony rides, birthday parties, equestrian summer camp, flex-camp, schooling shows, corporate events, IEA Team, and much more.
Private Lessons

Seaton Hackney Stables offers both private and semi-private lessons for our riders who want more flexibility in scheduling or individual attention. Private lessons are a great way for students to have one-on-one instruction, developing strong bonds with the instructor and their horse. Our lesson program is tailored specifically to each individual rider’s goals.
Trail Rides

Explore the miles of nicely maintained bridle paths in Seaton Hackney’s adjacent Loantaka Park in Morristown. Guided, instructed trail rides are offered during the week as well as on weekends. Complete beginner through advanced riders are welcomed.
Birthday Parties

Our fee for a two-hour party is $675 at Seaton Hackney County Stables in Morristown-440 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960). This fee lets you bring up to 20 children for a fun, pony-filled party at our facility.
SHS-IEA Team
Seaton Hackney has a dedicated IEA Team. This program provides opportunities to travel to Shows, make new, friends, and improve your riding skills.
Volunteering
Every Stables needs Rats and Cats! Ours are the human kind and an integral part of the success of our programs.
Schooling Shows Series
Join us for our regular quarterly schooling shows, held on-site at our Morristown, NJ facility: the perfect friendly venue to improve your Showing skills and show off your riding abilities to family and friends.
PEP Program
Seaton Hackney Stables offers several programs for smaller children (age 3 to 6). Our Petite Equestrian Program (PEP) allow these children to acquire basic horsemanship skills in small groups.
Troop Program
Troops are based upon different riding levels, ranging from Level 1A (beginners) through Level 6 (advanced).
Therapeutic Riding
We work with riders of all abilities and have all types of horses to accommodate our riders’ needs. Our therapeutic riding instructor and highly trained volunteers look forward to meeting you!
