About Us
We are one of the largest chapters in northern California with approximately 150 members. Our chapter members come from a large area around Sacramento and the Sierra Nevada Foothills. Our membership is made up of Adult Amateurs, Junior/Young Riders, and a number of trainers, breeders, and other professionals.

General meetings are held every month and chapter members are encouraged to join in on Zoom. If you want to join the next meeting, please email a request to foothillschaptercds@gmail.com
The Foothills Chapter puts on an annual show in October as well as clinics, and workshops throughout the year as fund raisers for the chapter. Events are manned by volunteers from the membership as well as sometimes hired professionals. Annual high point awards are given to qualifying chapter members competing at the chapter sponsored show. We also have an extensive scholarship program for members who have volunteered a total of 12 hours within the year. Scholarships are awarded based on who sends in applications by email before the cutoff date. This information is communicated through email and Facebook.
