Good Friday Area 11 BRC friendly Dressage at Merrist Wood - Friday 7th April 2023
Thank you for everyone who helped make our fabulous dressage show happen on Friday 7th April, 2023. Massive thank you to Julie for organising the whole event, our wonderful judges, Chris for taking photographs, our amazing volunteers whom without their help this event would not have run and of course the wonderful competitors and their friends and family. A big well done to Wey Valley for winning the area Dressage Team Trophy.

he Area 11 MOLLY ABRAHAM TROPHY
This trophy is awarded annually to a member of an affiliated riding club within Area 11 (Surrey) who is judged to have given outstanding service to their Club and/or the Area. It is intended to reward help rather than riding achievements.
The trophy was established in 2004 in memory of Molly Abraham who was the Secretary of the Area Liaison Committee for a number of years and someone who was always willing to help at club and Area events.
We are delighted to announce that for 2022 this prestigious Trophy was awarded to our very own Ro Major.
All our members know Ro. It is impossible not to know her - she is usually at the ringside at all our events helping people and encouraging them to take part in riding club activities. Ro has been a member of West Surrey for many years, as well as holding a committee post and is regularly seen at all Area events talking to members of BRC, regardless of their club, age or pony! This was so well deserved - we are all volunteers - we do this work to keep the club, and the area, running in our limited spare time alongside our own lives. Ro's energy, love of all things equine, friendly and approachable personality is 110% valued by all of us at West Surrey - and within the wider area.
The trophy was presented to Ro by our Area 11 Chair, Penny Jann at our AGM - You will be able to see from the photos that Ro had no idea and was completely surprised! A well kept secret indeed!! Many, Many Congratulations Ro - and Thank you for everything you do for us!
