Services

  • Our team of veterinarians offer many services for the clients at their farms. Services include; reproductive services, lameness and sports medicine, minor surgical procedures, and all aspects of the preventative medicine program. Much of the equipment utilized for diagnostics at Conley and Koontz Equine Hospital is also available for use on the farm.

  • Our veterinarians provide many aspects of reproduction for both the stallion and the mare. The veterinarians take pride in performing the highest quality of reproductive medicine to give you the highest success rate. We offer a variety of routine and advanced procedures to enhance your breeding program.

  • Conley and Koontz Equine Hospital is the only private equine hospital in Indiana that employs a veterinarian certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Rothenbuhler specializes in every aspect of the surgical process. With the help of his support staff, we perform preoperative planning, anesthesia, surgical preparation, surgery, recovery, and postoperative convalescence. Our hospital offers various types of elective or emergency orthopedic and soft tissue surgical procedures.

  • All of our veterinarians take pride in their ability to thoroughly and completely work towards a diagnosis for lameness and optimal performance. Most lameness can be diagnosed through ambulatory services. For the complicated and more difficult lameness, exams can be performed in the hospital where our veterinarians can work on them throughout the day. New technologies such as Shockwave therapy, Stem Cell, Platelet Rich Plasma, and IRAP, allow the horse to return to work sooner.

Conley and Koontz Equine Hospital employs many diagnostic aids when examining your horse. These include; Computed Radiography (CR), ultrasonography, and Endoscopy. With the use of CR, veterinarians, owners and trainers are allowed to see and receive high quality radiographs immediately. The use of ultrasonography allows us to evaluate areas of concern such as tendons, ligaments, and internal organs. Endoscopy is available both in the hospital and through ambulatory services. The endoscope is used to examine the upper airway and the respiratory tract.

  • Conley and Koontz Equine Hospital offers 24 hour mare watch using webcams, a foalert system, and an in-hospital veterinarian to deliver a live foal. Our veterinarians and support staff offer 24 hour neonatal intensive care including: laboratory services, plasma administration, nutritional support, oxygen, and patient monitoring.

  • Conley and Koontz Equine Hospital is staffed and equipped to handle a wide range of medical conditions. Our veterinarians all have experience in handling the most difficult and extensive cases including; neonatal intensive care, respiratory, abdominal, neurologic, and ophthalmologic conditions.

  • Conley and Koontz Equine Hospital is a 24 hour, 7 day a week ambulatory and referral facility. Our veterinarians and support staff take pride in caring for your horse in it's time of need. The facility offers 10 heated intensive care stalls each equipped with webcams and the equipment to administer continuous IV fluids and medications. With the in-hospital laboratory, we can assess critical care patients immediately.

  • Dr. Conley graduated from the Veterinary Chiropractic program in 1995. He has been providing chiropractic care for several disciplines of horses for over 15 years helping them to perform at their highest level.

  • Conley and Koontz Equine Hospital has invested in the training and equipment needed for advanced dentistry. With some of the most advanced motorizied equipment and instruments, the veterinarians offer the complete spectrum of dental care from minor points to complete equilibration.

  • At Conley & Koontz Equine Hospital, Dr. Siana Bollman offers veterinary medical acupuncture services. Dr. Bollman is trained in Medical Acupuncture and Integrative Neuromodulation (MAIN), which is a technique trademarked by Dr. Narda Robinson that focuses on a scientific approach to integrative medicine. The MAIN approach uses acupuncture to address dysfunction of neurophysiology, vasculature, and myofascia alongside traditional Eastern medicine for a holistic approach to a variety of conditions. This technique involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to simulate nerve endings, release fascia restriction, and trigger natural pain relief mechanisms in order to affect the nervous system, reduce muscle tension, and promote the release of endorphins. Acupuncture can aid in a wide variety of conditions ranging from neck and back pain, osteoarthritis, neuropathy, ocular dysfunction, and non-surgical colic. Medical acupuncture and integrative neuromodulation is an excellent tool that Conley & Koontz Equine Hospital is proud to offer to our clients to aid in pain management and improve overall mobility.
