Equestrian

We have so much to offer at UOB Equestrian. Whether you’re a complete beginner or advanced rider we have something for you!

BUCS Teams

Our First and Second team compete in the BUCS League. First team compete a Novice Dressage Test and a showjumping course of 90cm. Second team compete a Prelim Dressage Test and a showjumping course of approximately 75cm. Both are done on unknown horses.

We have 5 riders per team with 4 competing at each competition (NOTE: Each team member will get the chance to compete).

University Team

The University Team compete in a Friendly League. This is a rotation of riders to allow as many of you as possible to compete throughout the year ! It is a more relaxed style of competing for those that wish to without the pressure of BUCS Comps.

They compete a Prelim Dressage Test and a showjumping course set between 60-75cm.

Lessons

We run weekly lessons. The BUCS and University Teams train a combination of dressage and showjumping at Holly Equestrian Centre.

We also run weekly lessons at Brookhouse Farm Riding School for all levels of ability. This includes complete beginners to advance riders wishing to continue riding at University without the pressure of competing.

Socials

We run a variety of socials. Our weekly Sports Night to the University Guild are our most popular with a new theme every week!

We also run sober socials such as movie nights and Christmas dinner. We are up for everything fun! Our Social Sec wants to hear from you, so please get in touch with what you would like to see this year!

If you have any further questions please get in contact!
