BOD minutes for 5/5/23

Betty went over the BOD meeting Minutes that we did in April, and she went over the April Financials.

Red discussed with the BOD the SRRC Income and Expenses thru April 2023. The amount of revenue that we have been putting in the bank for the Club which is allowing SRRC to give Bigger and better Awards and the Crowds are still growing.

Red discussed that we are working to get bids to better the lighting in and around the bathrooms and around the Stands/Concession area - also in the back of the arena/warm-up area. We will be getting bids on putting LED lights in the arena, as well. All of this will help in reducing the light bill. Also on widening the trailer entrance on the North side which intel adding a 5' to 7' culvert.

Red let BOD know he ask and the concrete company is allowing us to use their parking area in front of their facility at this time for vehicles with NO TRAILERS ONLY. Red has visited with Park officials and talked about possibly a gate to allow vehicles WITHOUT TRAILERS that come Saturday night parking. They said they thought it could be arranged, but not confirmed yet.

Red told BOD we have the 2023 Summer Saddle/Buckle Series Dates Set - 6/10, 6/24, 7/8, 7/22, 8/12, 8/26,

Everyone including SRRC Members will be required to pay a $25 Nomination Fee to run for the saddle. Reserve Buckles and possibly something to go with it. Various Buckles from 3rd to 10th place in all four(4) Age Groups. Will be giving out Participation Awards to All Contestants who come to 5 out of 6 shows and enter 2 out of 3 Events per night.

SPONSORS: We have worked hard and already have 4 secure Saddle Sponsors of $1500.00 ea. Also have $1300 worth of Sponsorships for Buckles and have numerous others that we are working on.

Confirmed with Seven Saddles that the Club will be paying $1836 for the Pee Wee Saddle (Certificate will be $1999) which will include the Safe Tree and the other 3 classes Saddles will be $1910 ea. (Certificate will be $2049). All 4 Saddles will come with a matching Breast Collar, Basic Lightweight Saddle, color of their choice of Saddle and Buck Stitching, choice of Conchos, matching color Suede Seat or Black/Brown, and choice of 6.5" to 8" Gullet. All Saddles will have SRRC Lettering on the Fenders. Freight is also included in the pricing of the Saddles. Seven Saddle's rep - Ashton Paden is planning on bringing a couple of examples of Saddles at the first show on 6/10/23.

We have the Hall/Pavilion at Samuel Park by SRRC reserved for Sunday 8/27/23 from 10am to 3pm. Figured the club would furnish the meat, drinks, potato salad and misc. and have the contestants and their family all bring a dish. We can set up from 10am to 11:45 and have lunch from noon to 1:15pm then AWARDS at 1:30pm.
