Higby’s Country Feed is a family-owned and operated feed, farm, and ranch supply store in Dixon, CA. We have been in business since 1984, serving local communities in Solano and Yolo Counties and beyond. Hay

We rely on over 25 years of experience and relationships with growers throughout the region to find the best quality hay available in northern California. We take great care in evaluating for moisture content, damage, weeds, and other undesirable material prior to purchasing. Our focus is on the best available hay for horses.

Our delivery service is unmatched. We provide fast turn-around, and custom-stack the bales as requested by the customer. If a client has special hay needs, we are willing to scour the region for the best type that will meet his or her requirements. We also keep our customers informed about availability, quality, and price via our newsletter and on our website.

Deliveries

With a fleet of trucks and our professional crew, we are able to deliver throughout the region. Hay, shavings, grain, fencing, panels, and more can be delivered and carefully stacked where you need it. Reasonable delivery fees apply, based upon distance and the size of the customer’s order. We work hard to deliver quickly and we will coordinate with you to ensure your satisfaction and timely delivery.

Chick Season

From March through May, we have baby chicks available. We stock a variety of breeds, and all of the feed and supplies you will need to raise a healthy and happy flock.

Supporting Our Local Communities

Higby’s offers discounts to local 4H and FFA club members who raise livestock. We also purchase many youth auction animals each year from the Dixon May Fair, the Yolo County and Solano County Fairs, the Yolo County Spring Show, and other youth livestock auctions in our area. We also donate generously to local causes we care about and believe in.
