The Dressage Foundation is pleased to announce the recipient of the Evie Tumlin Memorial Fund Grant for Region 9 Adult Amateurs as Danielle Aymond (LA). The purpose of the Evie Tumlin Memorial Fund is to provide grants to adult amateur riders who currently reside in USDF Region 9, to aid in their development in dressage and/or eventing.
Danielle is an active member of the Southern Dressage and Eventing Association and the U.S. Pony Club. She is also a member of the Louisiana National Guard. EVENTERS remember that you cannot enter a year’s worth of scores at the end of the year. You have 30 days post event to get those scores in, anything outside the 30 day window will not be counted. You can find more information on the SEDA website and the online entry is here.
Are you excited? You can now submit your eventing scores online via this form. As always, if there are any questions, please contact Emily.
We all know how essential volunteers are to our events. SEDA is in need of someone to take on the role of Volunteer Coordinator. Tasks will include: working with show organizers to fill and schedule all volunteers needed, follow up with volunteers to ensure they arrive, being on hand (or appoint someone if you can’t be there) to serve as a point of contact for volunteers at the show, tracking volunteer hours. If this sounds like something you’d like to take on, please contact Nicole.
One of the ways to earn volunteer hours is by getting sponsors for SEDA. Consider sponsoring something yourself or asking people or businesses you know to sponsor our events. Use the SEDA Sponsorship Flyer for additional information. The earlier in the year we obtain sponsors, the more exposure they will get…and we want to give our sponsors LOTS of exposure!
Go to http://www.usdfregion9.org/ and click on the sign up button to receive the Region 9 Newsletter that goes out mid-month carrying the latest information.
You’ve been to a clinic, a show, or some other event? We want to hear your story. Tell us about what you learned, your successes, or just the experience. Toot your own horn if you’ve earned it. Share your knowledge! Send your submissions to: newsletter@sedariders.org.
The Southern Eventing and Dressage Association (SEDA) is proud to represent all of its members, be a resource for the equestrian community, and to support inclusivity in all aspects of sport. We strive for continual improvement in our sports and our organization. We believe we are stronger together.
