Centrally located in the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains, Tarryall River Ranch was originally founded as a working cattle ranch during the Tarryall gold rush of the late 1800’s.
Today, our family-owned ranch is open to the public for day rides and private events. We also support a wide range of Christian ministries, non-profit organizations, and others in need in our community.
Offering a full equine program with miles of trail riding, hiking, excellent fishing, and authentic Western experiences, we strive to create a rejuvenating and restorative environment for our guests to experience the beauty of Colorado and build lasting memories.

Here at the ranch, we offer cabins and suites that can accommodate a variety of groups. From Stampede, which features original log and chink construction and a wraparound porch, to Summit and Skyline, private suites with great views, our lodging is designed with a unique blend of comfort and Western charm.
Spend time with friends and family or make new acquaintances in our many community spaces. Waypoint Lodge boasts bottomless coffee with a cozy lounge and wood-burning fireplace, while Frontier’s sweeping porch offers opportunities to gather, swap stories, and make new memories.

Our wranglers are ready to share their love of horses and riding as you explore the breathtaking scenery of Pike National Forest and the Lost Creek Wilderness from the back of a horse.
Looking for a little more excitement? Try your hand at cow penning or sign up for a private lesson with one of our experienced wranglers.
Our equine program is also available for day guests who want to drop in and ride for the day.
